- A powerful, multi-functional filter cartridge for water purification systems tested to exceed NSF Standards 42 and 53. This filter element is tested and certified by NSF International under ANSI/NSF Standard 42 and/or 53 for component materials only.
Omnipure multimedia cartridge filters flow in the radial (outside-to-inside) direction, providing increased dirt capacity and low-pressure drop. Unlike granular activated carbon (GAC) filters, our cartridges will not channel or by-pass, due to the extreme uniformity of a new state-of-the-art precision compression molded process. Service life is greatly extended by a layer of pre-filtration media consisting of a 15-micron polypropylene spun-bonded outer pre-filtration layer.

Heavy Metal & Lead: Omnipure multimedia cartridge reduces soluble lead using a powerful ion-exchange filter medium with high specificity for soluble lead. Particulate filtration is used to intercept insoluble lead-containing particles.
Particulate, Cyst, and Turbidity Reduction: Omnipure multimedia cartridge provides greater than 99.96% reduction of 1-2 micron particles and operates at the same high performance as a sediment filter. Graded density pre-filtration combined with a high dirt capacity extruded activated carbon serve to provide greater life.
